I didn't actually set out to be an MDS coordinator. In the beginning, I set out to simply care for people. My career began as a CNA while raising my first child at 18 and earning my degree. From there, I worked my way through nursing roles, became an MDS coordinator, and eventually led corporate-level care management across multiple states.
What I discovered along the way is that MDS touches everything — compliance, reimbursement, quality measures, even staff confidence. I became "addicted" to understanding every detail, and more importantly, I realized my passion wasn't just in doing the work, but in teaching and mentoring others. That's what inspired me to create CSJ MDS Resource Group: a partner facilities can rely on to strengthen their processes and their people.

While I personally lead every engagement, I also partner with a trusted network of experienced MDS coordinators and consultants who bring additional expertise when needed.
